APRIL 2020: Still Serving in the midst of COVID-19
The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot for everyone. Businesses have had to close, services have had to be put on hold, and hospitals have been forced to scale back or cancel elective procedures. This means that one of the floors we currently serve is unable to have patients. Despite our world taking a pause, illnesses still happen and children are still affected by conditions they need to be hospitalized for.
Even though we have had to slow our progress with expanding into Children’s MN and other area hospitals, we are still receiving donations and committed to keeping the boxes that are in use filled with rewards. On April 16th, Jeromy took a carload of toys to refill the boxes on the Cardiovascular Floors. We love that we can provide support for these patients who now are stuck in the hospital and not allowed to have visitors. Your donations help provide a small escape from the hard reality of hospitalization.
Many of the donations we ask for and receive are items like cars, dolls, and games. These small rewards are perfect for encouraging patients to stay strong and get through whatever treatment they need to undergo. We are so thankful for your continued support and look forward to being able to expand our services once the hospitals are ready to work with us.
