March 4, 2020: New Partnership with Surgical and Procedural Services

When we began Andrew’s Bravery Box a few short months ago, we committed to placing and stocking 5 boxes in the Cardiovascular Area and the Prep and Recovery Area of Children’s Minnesota. As we have evaluated the level of donations that are coming in, we have decided to take the step to expand to another area of Children’s MN: Surgical and Procedural Services.

Patients in this area undergo a number of procedures. As with any surgery, patients must cooperate with staff to get the care they need and meet milestones before they can be released to go home. Hospital stays here range from a single night to several days depending on the nature of the procedure. While some areas of the hospital are very specialized and focus on things live Neonatal care, Cardiovascular Care, or Oncology, this area serves a very wide variety of patients who undergo a wide variety of procedures. We are excited to begin this partnership and hope to be able to serve these patients and families well.

As with any expansion of an organization, careful examination of our resources and ability to commit to keeping each box full must be considered. As we move forward, we will continue to look at our resources and the needs within our community to determine where we will expand to next. If you have a suggestion about where we should place our next Bravery Boxes, you can reach out to us at AndrewsBraveryBox@gmail.com

Andrew’s Bravery Box is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit whose mission is to Reward Bravery. To make a donation, visit www.AndrewsBraveryBox.org/donate
